ABOUT
Dr. Barnsley is a board-certified plastic surgeon working in Nanaimo with clinical interests in breast surgery, both cosmetic and reconstructive, hand surgery, skin cancer and general cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Barnsley completed medical school at Dalhousie University in 2001. Because he was granted early acceptance to medical school, he completed his BSc in Biology later in 2005.Following the successful completion of medical school, Dr. Barnsley was accepted into the highly sought after residency training program in Plastic Surgery at Dalhousie University. During the course of residency training, Dr. Barnsley was accepted into the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Clinician Investigator Program. During this two year program, he held a National Cancer Institute of Canada research fellowship and successfully completed an MSc in Epidemiology and Community Medicine at the University of Ottawa.
